A Brief On Bass: Bass is an emotional instrument. Its an instrument of feel. You don't just hear it, you also feel it! When its played well, you know it. If it's bad, you know that too! It can take you on a journey through musical history. Even when its played all by itself. From the two beat grooves of Dixieland Jazz. To the swing of the 40s and 50s. Boogie Woogie bass lines from the 60s to classic rock lines from the early 70s. And my personal favorite are the R & B bass lines from the mid 70s. But it doesn't stop there! The 80s gave us pop and disco bass lines. And through all of that, bass players like Jaco Pastorious and Stanley Clarke changed the world with their sound and abilities. And with the new bass players of today, this instrument is growing steadily in popularity and notoriety.
